Event name: “choose HAPPINESS…a talk on Meditation and Modern Buddhism”
What is happiness and where does it come from? If happiness is a choice then why is it so hard to be and remain happy, even for one day? We keep seeking happiness outside ourself; in things, people, work or situations.
However, Buddha taught that happiness and suffering are feelings – parts of our mind – and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind. If we really want to be truly happy and free from suffering, we must learn how to control our mind.
This talk is suitable for everyone who wishes to improve their life through training in cultivating states of minds that lead to happiness.
