Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman hits his first career home run

Marcus Stroman hit his first career home run last night vs the Atlanta Braves.

And, it was an opposite-field homer as well, making it even more impressive.

Stroman said he was surprised by the feat., “I’ve never hit an opposite-field homer, even in batting practice, in my life”.

Jays manager, John Gibbons, was not so surprised by Stroman’s ability, “Stroman has a way of doing something if need something desperately, he comes through.

He becomes only the second pitcher in Blue Jays history to hit a homer.

Stroman’s teammates were quick to congratulate / rib  him after he reached home plate.
