Elon Musk sent a Telsa into space with David Bowie’s Space Oddity cranked!
There may not be sound in space, but that didn’t stop Elon Musk from having some fun!
Elon Musk, a huge David Bowie fan said that:
“instead of a dummy payload of concrete or steel, the Falcon Heavy test flight will contain a Tesla Roadster, planned to float around in the big, black beyond for a billion years, playing David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.”
A Red Car for the Red Planet Test flights of new rockets usually contain mass simulators in the form of concrete or steel blocks. That seemed extremely boring. Of course, anything boring is terrible, especially companies, so we decided to send something unusual, something that made us feel. The payload will be an original Tesla Roadster, playing Space Oddity, on a billion year elliptic Mars orbit.
