Bob Dylan is finally getting around to picking up his Nobel Prize he won last year. He’s set to meet with members of the Swedish Academy this weekend where he will finally receive his Nobel diploma and medal.

We all know Dylan has been avoiding them…not sure why, winning a nobel prize is one of the world’s top honors! Dylan was originally honored in December with the Nobel Prize in Literature “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”. Dylan refused calls from the Academy and declined an invite to the Nobel Prize Banquet in Stockholm. Bob Dylan and his band, set to perform Budweiser Gardens on June 6th, tickets on sale now through www.ticketmaster.ca. Here he is performing at last years Desert Trip in Indio, California.
